You found someone who’ll do the work for $3 an hour. On paper, you just cut your costs to the bone.

Then the revisions start. The deadline slips. You spend your Friday redoing work you already paid for.

A cheap VA at $3/hour looks like $200 a week. 

Add the five-plus hours a week you spend fixing the work and the projects that miss their window, and the true number is closer to $400, for maybe 26 usable hours.

A skilled remote hire at $15/hour costs $600 a week. Minimal cleanup, and they hand you back the hours you used to spend babysitting. Net it out and you land at about the same $400, except now you get 40 solid hours and your calendar back.

Same week of work. One costs $12 per usable hour and turns you into the manager. The other costs $10 and hands your calendar back.

Run it per usable hour and the "bargain" costs you about $12.
