It got me thinking: how will these AI advancements affect overseas talent?

Here’s what I think for 2025:

First, let’s clear something up: AI will impact workers everywhere, not just overseas. But people focus on overseas talent because there’s a misconception about how it’s used.

Sure, those massive call centers in the Philippines and India might be in trouble. But answering basic customer questions was never where the real value of overseas talent was anyway.

The real value is tapping into marketers, developers, designers, and operators who can handle high-value work. AI won’t replace them—it’ll make them even better.

1. Overseas talent will become more valuable.

AI tools will erase language barriers and boost productivity. Skilled overseas professionals will deliver faster, better work. It’s not just about saving money—it’s about getting better results.

2. Mediocre domestic workers will be exposed.

Bad talent here at home has been skating by for too long. AI will widen the gap, and overseas professionals who embrace these tools will easily outperform inefficient domestic hires.

3. Collaboration will be seamless.
