The Context

Max is one of the greatest marketing minds in the game today.

(And no he doesn’t pay me to say that. I just think he’s a genius.)

After Max exited his agency for a 7 figure pay day two years ago, he started a Newsletter company called Growth Daily which reaches over 1,000,000 agency owners, brands, and B2B decision makers.

And because he has these newsletters, he’s got an unbelievable promotion machine.

Anytime he needs leads for his own businesses, he just includes an ad spot in one of his newsletters.

How to book an extra 10 calls a month…

Follow the following steps to book 10+ sales calls per month using the exact same formula we stole from Marketing Max.

1. Collect a list of everyone that’s given you permission to contact them

  • old leads

  • vendors

  • partners

  • clients

  • seriously, everyone. This is magic.

2. Add these people to an Email Service Provider

We use Beehiiv because it’s cheaper than most other options while still providing better functionality than most other competitors I’ve tried.

3. Gather 5 links from around the internet containing industry news

If I had an SEO agency, I would collect articles from big players like Hubspot, Search Engine Land etc. SEO is changing a lot right now so this would be an easy niche to find news about what Google is changing.

Not sure what to include here? Start bookmarking links on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram that catch your attention while you’re scrolling. Odds are if it’s interesting to you, it’ll be interesting to your new audience.

4. Include a call to action

When we started out, our newsletter was simply a few industry-relevant links and a couple of bios of candidates we could place.

Going back to our SEO example, your CTA could be as simple as

“want to know what this news means for your business? Book a free consultation here.”

Don’t overthink it.

5. Send an email every week for 3 months

We were lucky enough to start booking sales calls after our first send. But not everyone is so lucky.

It usually takes time to figure out which copy resonates with your audience.

Testing is the name of the game here.

Utilize the list you already have, provide something valuable, and book calls.
