From $0 to $100k MRR: The Growth Hack
Some of my clients are growing fast. Like really, really fast.
$20k MRR from 15 clients in the first month of a new offer—with $0 ad spend.
$100k in new MRR added each month.
A new 7-figure business launched entirely from one easy-to-copy acquisition channel.
Without exception, each of them leverages at least one Growth Hack to achieve that growth.
The secret? Growth Hacks.
I’ve reverse-engineered and tested some of the best growth hacks out there. Over the next 5 weeks, I’ll share one each week. Buckle up.
🚀 Growth Hack #1: Get Big Brother’s Overflow
The Hack: Partner with larger agencies to take on their overflow clients.
I recently launched a proof-of-concept SEO company. Using Go Carpathian talent from Eastern Europe, South Africa, and Latin America, the results have been outstanding:
Ranked a Las Vegas law firm on the front page of Google.
Helped beta clients rank for thousands of keywords.
But here’s the problem:
I don’t have time to go out and find clients. So, I leverage larger SEO agencies to win new business.
🛠 Step-by-Step Guide to Success:
DON’T compete directly
My SEO agency has 4 service tiers and we DON’T work with certain niches.
$195/month
$495/month
$995/month
$1995/month
🔑 Why I’m NOT Direct Competition
Here’s how I make sure my partners don’t see me as a threat:
Some of my partners have clients paying them $5k or even $10k a month. Not for me.
These clients are in competitive niches that require massive resources to manage. That’s not the kind of business I’m after.
Instead, I focus on the clients these high-retainer agencies disqualify.
I am the DOWN SELL for all of the smaller companies they don’t want to work with.
🔄 My Role as the Downsell
I’ve built my business as the perfect downsell for the smaller companies that big agencies don’t want to work with.
Here’s how the partnership works:
I handle their overflow clients—smaller businesses they can’t service.
I refer out big companies I can’t take on, creating pipeline for my partners.
I throw in sweet perks like rev shares and even flights to Europe for agencies that hit referral milestones.
It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
How I would use LinkedIn to find partners:
Use Apollo.io to create a list of US marketing agencies with 50+ employees.
Download the list and upload it to Linked Helper.
Send this connection request:
Repeat 1,000 times, testing and iterating every week
🤔 Why It Works:
Big agencies turn down smaller clients that don’t meet their minimums. By positioning yourself as their reliable referral partner, you get steady, high-quality leads.
