Your Q1 revenue target is probably getting set in the next few weeks. The meetings that hit it get booked in January.

If nobody on your team is booking them, that number is a guess.

I talk to founders every week who plan to sort out outbound "in the new year." Here's what that looks like on a calendar.

You start the search in January and interview through February. Your new SDR's first real meetings land in March.

What one client did instead

A software company that sells scheduling tools hired two SDRs from South Africa through us last winter.

One of them is still there seven months later. He makes 130 to 160 dials a day and booked about 20 meetings last month. In his words, he's "part of the furniture now."

Over the summer, the company came back and hired four more SDRs through us, in South Africa and Colombia.

What it costs

US SDR

South African SDR

Monthly salary

$4,200 to $6,500

$1,500 to $2,300

Per year

$50,400 to $78,000

$18,000 to $27,600

That's $32,400 to $50,400 a year back per hire, before you add payroll tax and benefits to the US column.

"Will they sound right to my buyers?"

It's the first thing founders ask. South African SDRs speak strong, fluent English with neutral accents, and many have already sold into the US, UK and Australia.

South Africans also treat sales as a career, not a stepping stone. And every SDR we present has done a sales roleplay with our team, so you'll know how they handle a cold call before you meet them.

The math on timing

Our median is 12 days from kickoff call to hiring decision. Start this month and your SDR is learning your product while the calendar is quiet, then booking January meetings in January.

Picture opening the new year with demos already on the calendar, booked by someone whose whole job is booking them.

If this sounds like your Q1, reply to this email or book a call. Tell us who you sell to, and we'll tell you what the right SDR looks like.

Until next time,
